We were using ISBS Balance mod, which presumably changed something that affected Unbidden ship stats. They also easily ate fallen empires (without losing ships, again). I threw 140k of long-range ships against a 300k unbidden fleet (not by choice), and they lost like 3 ships.
#Unbidden stellaris mods
Apparently, mods that change 'ship hull' characteristics can boost unbidden to insanity levels. The few times I successfully defeated them AFTER they got a good part of galaxy was with a big 300k fleet that crushed dozens of their little single 100k-200k stacks. By the time the unbidden arrive you usually have enough ressources for everything, but you are still limited by your fleet capacity. So about what you can do to better fight them:įleet capacity! Thats the most important in my opinion. If they already have a foothold, well, you have a problem. So being only 100 years in and having to deal with the unbidden is way harder (and sometimes impossible) than getting the unbidden after 200 years or even 300 years in.Īnd yes, fallen empires (well, awakened fallen empires) and end game crisis are designed to be the last and hardest challenge.Ī 100k fleet is only enough if you can kill the unbidden the moment they arrive. rng decides most at which point what crisis starts. Obviously its way easier and faster to grow a very big and strong fleet on a 1000 stars and 5x setting than on a map with fewer stars and/or 0.25x setting.Īnother important point is luck. Its depending on your galaxy size and "habitable planets" setting too.
Of course on war in heaven or an awakened fallen emprie will get higher fleet numbers very fast depending on their territory size. Same with fallen empries which usually only have 100k fleets. The normal setting numbers are like you wrote around 70-110k stack fleet. It sounds like you are playing on hard (+50% on stuff and fleed) or insane (+100% on stuff and fleet) difficulty. So is it possible that the strenght of the endgame is calculated on my tech-lvl? So that getting a strong and advanced fleet is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself in the longterm?ītw: I encountered the same problem with a fallen empire (Even higher fleets ~600k power). So the question is: Is it even intented to have a slight chance in the lategame? And if yes how o_O? Getting the minerals will take more time than them cleaning the hole galaxy. There is no way to get close to own a fleet strong enough to fight them. I tried to hunt them down and only engage with 1 of their stacks (obvioulsly) and just got mopped away (lost all for about 30k of their fleet power). So the other nations won't even get them! Mainly beacause they got +250%!!! weapon damage! Even the stations (anchors) are up to 35k power. Well my fellow guys have 300k (6 of them).
I often hear about 70k or 100k stacks in their fleets. My fleet power is at 100k at the moment kicking every other nations ass, because their max is at ~30k. I also using manly battleships with kinetic weapons (+35% tech bonus) and only shields (+30% tech).
#Unbidden stellaris how to
I've been redaing about how to beat them. My question is about the endgame crisis "the unbidden" (but I also encounter the same problems with awakend Fallen Empires).:
